The Urgency
We are building Bright Imaginations because far too many children are being left behind by traditional models of education
Right now, in Lakeland and across our community:
  • Students are reduced to test scores. Teachers are expected to do more with less. Families are searching for something different.
  • Polk County ranks 63rd out of 67 counties for per‑pupil funding—among the lowest in the state, despite a median household income that is not at the very bottom
  • For the 2023–24 school year, Polk County earned a C grade overall, placing it in the bottom tier of Florida’s districts—ranking approximately 56th out of 64–67 districts
We believe they deserve better.
They deserve a school where:
  • Imagination and identity are nurtured
  • Personalized learning replaces one-size-fits-all instruction
  • Equity isn’t a buzzword — it’s the foundation
That’s why we’re launching Bright Imaginations Preparatory School —

What is Bright Imaginations Prep School?
Bright Imaginations Preparatory School is a K-5 Private Elementary School. We launch in Fall 2026 with Phase 1 (Grades K-2)

We are building Bright Imaginations Prep to serve children and families in Lakeland, Florida — particularly those in communities where traditional systems have failed to provide equitable access to joyful, rigorous education.
We center around families seeking more than a test score-focused education.
